We Believe:

1. The Scriptures are God Inspired

We believe, the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are given by the inspiration of God. They are the revelation of God to mankind, with Jesus Christ being the focus. Furthermore, the word of God is quick (Alive), powerful, infallible (incapable of Error), faith imparting, and able to build character and bring spiritual maturity to the life of believers.

John 5:39, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, Hebrew 4:12, Romans 10:17

2. The One True God

We believe, that the one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. Scriptures declare: You are my witnesses says the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed neither shall there be after Me. We believe there is one God, who eternally exist in three distinct persons. (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit)

Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10-12, Malachi 3:6, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22 , John 1:1, Acts 5:4, 1 John 5:7

3. The Fall of Man

We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God; for God said, "Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness." However, original sin by man corrupted the human nature. By man’s failure to obey God, physical death and spiritual death, which is separation from God incurred. All people must realize that because of sin, (Transgression of the Law) we are in need of a Savior.

Genesis 1:26,27 ,Genesis 2:17 ,Genesis 3:6 ,Romans 5:12-19, Roman 3:9-10, 23 Romans 6:23, Psalms 51:5

4. The Salvation of Man “The New Birth”

We believe man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, is God’s only provision for our Sins. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life.

Luke 24:47, John 3:3, Romans 10:9-15, Ephesians 2:8, Titus 2:11, Titus 3:5-7, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Acts 20:21

5. BAPTISMS

Refer to Ordinance of Baptism in Water.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe that all believers are entitled to and should earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire. With it comes the enduement of power for living and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry.

Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31

This experience is distinct from the experience of the new birth.

Acts 8:12-17, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 11:14-16

6. Sanctification, Holiness, and Repentance

We believe that Sanctification is an act of consecration and purification. Being transformed by the renewing of our mind is biblical instructions for believers. This metamorphasis will display a change and separation from that which is evil, to a life dedicated to God. Sanctification is realized as we walk in the Spirit. As we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh, and the nature of Christ will be evident in our lives as we display the fruit of the Spirit.

Romans 12:1,2, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4, 5:23, Hebrews 13:12, Galatians 5:16,22,23, Romans 6:1-13, Romans 8:1,2,13 Galatians 2:20, Galatians 6:8, Philippians 2:12,13

We believe that scripture teaches a life of "holiness without which no man shall see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14

We believe that repentance is a change of mind, which results in a change of outward actions. Outward change will display a turning away from sin and a turn toward God and righteousness.

2 Chronicles 7:14, Luke 15:18, 1 John 1:7-9

7. “The Church “

We believe Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. The Church is the actual Body of Christ. For by One Spirit are we all baptized into one body. Every believer, born of the Spirit, is an important part of the body of Christ. We are many members but one body who worship God in Spirit and in Truth.

John 4:23,24, 1 Corinthians 12, Colossians 1:18, Galatians 6:10, Ephesians 2:22, Hebrews 12:23

The Ordinances of the Church

Baptism in Water

We believe the ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded by the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Saviour and Lord are to eligible to be baptized. When we repent and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, death to sin and the old life occurs. Therefore, water baptism is an outward display of an inward change. By this outward display, we make proclamation to the world that we have died with Christ, and have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Mark 16:16, Acts 10:47,48, Romans 6:4

Holy Communion

We believe in The Lord's Supper, which consist of the elements – The bread is symbolic of his body, and the Cup is symbolic of his Blood – This ordinance is in remembrance of the sacrifice that was made for our salvation by the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation in the greek is the word “Soteria” which means deliverance, preservation, safety (physically or morally) and Health. Through Holy Communion, we give thanks for our Soteria!

1 Corinthians 11:25, Luke 22:19-20

8. Divine Healing

We believe that divine healing is an essential element of the gospel. The Spirit helps us with our infirmities (Weakness of Soul and Body) Deliverance from sickness is provided and available to all believers through the finished work of Christ.

Isaiah 53:4,5 Matthew 8:16,17, Romans 8:26 , James 5:14-16

9. The Resurrection of the Dead (The Blessed Hope of the Faith)

We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the blessed hope of the church. As Christians, we are not merely living for an earthly period of time, but for eternity. Because Christ rose from the dead, we too will experience the resurrection power.

1 Thessalonians 4:16,17, Romans 8:23, Titus 2:13, 1 Corinthians 15:20-23, 51,52 John 6:39-54, 11:23-24

10. The Millennial Reign of Christ

We believe the second coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for one thousand years.

Zechariah 14:5, Matthew 24:27, Matthew 24:30, Revelation 1:7, Revelation 19:11-14, Revelation 20:1-6

11. The Final Judgment

We believe that we will all stand before God after our death and be judged. To those who die without Christ, eternal damnation awaits (Hell), but to those who die in Him, eternal reward is in fact certain. (Heaven) There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will experience everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
